摘要: Vanadium is a transition metal widely distributed in the environment and biological systems, it major trace element fossil fuels. Consequently, combustion of these materials significant source vanadium environment. In periodical table, belongs to first series can form compounds mainly valences III, IV V. The V state vanadium, as vanadate, predominates extracellular body fluids whereas most common intracellular form. Research on influence has gained importance because well known that exerts potent toxic, mutagenic, genotoxic effects wide variety including recently pentoxide, been classified by IARC (2006) possible carcinogenic agent for humans. Information about clastogenic limited controversial, data its mutagenic potential bacterial, yeast plants are inconclusive. On other hand, results obtained mammalian cells, both vivo vitro, indicate produce responses, however, evident action exhibited this their ability disrupt microtubule function, consistent cytotoxic cytostatic effects. By reasons some authors, us, classify weak mutagen.
