摘要: 2,3,4',5-tetrahydroxystilbene 2-O-β-D-glucoside (TSG), a resveratrol analog with glucoside, is purified from traditional Chinese herbal medicine polygonum multiflorum. It has been extensively studied in last decade and known to exert strong anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, anti-apoptotic, free radical scavenging activities, therefore listed as potential agent for disease therapies. Recent studies extend well-beyond effects of TSG on the injury neurons, cardiomyocytes endothelial cells, report important functions lot pathophysiological conditions. For example, shown prevent production pro-inflammatory cytokines microglia macrophages vitro, ameliorate responses animal models neurodegeneration, atherosclerosis, rat paw or ear oedema. can proliferation vascular smooth gastrointestinal dysfunctions, platelet aggregation, osteoblastic injury, diabetic nephropathy melanogenesis. also indicated facilitate long-term potentiation learning memory both normal pathological These some extent enrich understanding about role prevention therapy. However, date, we still have no outlined knowledges pharmacological TSG, though aging Alzheimer's reviewed recent years. Here, summarize current developments well its possible mechanisms therapy, aiming push protective preclinical assessment novel applications.
