摘要: Ways of measuring industrial competitiveness are discussed and an analysis the food sector as a whole three sub-sectors presented. The techniques employed were Revealed Comparative Advantage Porter Diamond. Ireland had strong competitive position in 1994 relative to our EU partners large industry sectors, but when account was taken growth these sectors weaker that Ireland did not have high markets. However later prepared consumer foods 1996 revealed relatively position. Specific analyses sources shellfish, dairy shellfish predominantly based on quality raw material. industry’s positively affected by factor conditions Irish market, operations multinational companies, strategic behaviour companies Common Agricultural Policy. Major factors which contributed materials, population changes dynamic retail Ireland.
