摘要: The multiple tumor suppressor 1 (MTS1) and 2 (MTS2) genes, located on chromosome 9p21, have been reported to be deleted or mutated in many malignant cell lines a high percentage of some primary carcinomas. To determine whether these genes are altered, if so, what is the nature alterations, human gastric adenocarcinoma, we investigated their frequency mutation by Southern blotting, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) direct sequencing 55 patients. Furthermore, loss heterozygosity (LOH) 9p21 at IFNA locus D9S171 was assessed. Homozygous deletions exon MTS1 gene were identified 5 (9.1%) tumors. No deletion MTS2 noted. LOH observed 7 (14.3%) 49 informative cases (5 locus, one case with combined homozygous MTS1). Direct PCR products did not reveal any point These data indicate that alterations infrequently encountered. Additional studies more micro-satellite markers near mandatory elucidate another exists vicinity adenocarcinoma.
