摘要: The paper considers the relationships between fishing and farming in providing household income nutritional security among Luo communities on shores of Kenyan sector Lake Victoria. In recent years resources Victoria have come under severe pressure due to a variety economic ecological factors associated with over-fishing significant decline fish species. Farming has increased importance as households attempt meet subsistence needs, but plot fragmentation, drought low investment led poor crop yields. Future development strategies need enhance sustainability both lake land, possibly build upon traditional management methods institutions.
