摘要: ABSTRACT “Mauritius” and “McLean's Red” were packed in active (5% O2 5% CO2) or passive modified atmosphere polypropylene punnets. Lidding film with 10 4 holes was sealed onto the punnets during packing process. Packed fruits stored at 2C, 95% relative humidity up to 21 days. Observations indicated that more suited for packaging technology than “Mauritius”. film-four showed ∼7% 9% CO2, significantly reduced activity of oxidation enzymes, higher retention pericarp color by retaining hunter values L*, C*, h*in Red”. film-10 ∼17% ∼5% retained soluble solids concentration titratable acidity ratio (∼65), thereby preventing loss taste litchi fruit flavor acceptable color. The use an does not change composition gases equilibrium but lessens time necessary reach this equilibrium. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS Modified (MAP) has been considered beneficial maintain high humidity, prevent water browning pericarp, is also a convenient method market value-added small fruits. Results from study selection MAP cultivar-dependent. outcome provides partial solution medium-scale growers exporters marketing chains 20–21 days information on suitable alternative treatment replace sulfur dioxide fumigation especially early season litchi.
