Symptoms and side effects in chronic non-cancer pain patients: clinical implications and development of new assessment tools.

摘要: Objective To improve a 41-item screening tool evaluated in our previous study by making it more simple and convenient to patients at the same time maintain level of information sensitivity. Methods In prospective, two-period questionnaire study, suffering from chronic pain non-cancer origin for than 6 months, were asked fill two questionnaires: QSSE-41 or QSSE-33 SF-36. The first part (QSSE-41) included an age- sex-matched control group. Results A total 67 60 QSSE-33. In QSSE-41, mean number symptoms reported patient group (12.3) was significantly higher those controls (6.8) (P < 0.001). Out symptoms, 40.3% be side effects caused analgesics, out 61.3% as acceptable 38.7% unacceptable effects. QSSE-33, 13.6. 46.3% 56.4% 43.6% effects. Conclusions This new shorter may substitute original clinical use, contribute substantially comprehensive detailed understanding symptoms/side consequently lead improved therapies.
