摘要: Abstract The characteristics of the microstructures and mechanical properties friction stir welds 60% Cu–40% Zn alloy (60/40 brass) were investigated. defect-free obtained in a relatively wide range welding conditions; tool rotation speed ranged from 1000 to 1500 rpm with 500 2000 mm/min, 500 rpm—500 mm/min. yielded extremely fine grains some deformed stirred zone (SZ) elongated thermo-mechanically affected zone. hardness values within SZ all conditions much higher than those base metal, increased decrease heat input. generation refined was main factor which caused increase associated decreasing strengths all-SZ showed relative correspondence variation SZ.
