Effect of disorder on the conductance of a Cu atomic point contact

摘要: We present a systematic study of the effect disorder in copper point contacts. show that peaks conductance histogram contacts shift upon addition nickel impurities. The increases initially linearly with concentration, thus confirming it is due to nanowire, accordance predictions. In general, this modeled as resistance Rs which placed series contact Rc . However, we obtain different values for two histogram, being larger peak at higher conductance.
