摘要: Comma-shaped rods isolated from the vagina of women with signs vaginitis were studied. Three types found: a long (length about 4 microns), medium-sized (about 3 microns) and short 1 micron) variant. All three variants had characteristic cork-screw motility. The up to eight flagella, while four. bacteria only grew under anaerobic conditions, although after great number passages on artificial culture media variant, but not other variants, could be grown in microaerophilic atmosphere. In broth growth all was stimulated by addition 0.3% formatefumarate. On solid colonies developed incubation for 48 72 hours at 37 degrees C. differed variant that they produced leucine arylamidase, alpha-galactosidase. None strains utilized carbohydrates; intravariant differences found test results gelatin nitrate reduction. tested, none long, hydrolysed sodium hippurate. Gas chromatographic analyses showed produce acetic, lactic succinic acids.
