Preparation, characterization, electrochemical studies and crystal structure determination of salicylaldehyde–aroylhydrazone, ferrocenyl–aroylhydrazone and salicylaldehyde–ferrocenoylhydrazone complexes of indium

摘要: The reaction of triethylindium with salicylaldehyde–aroylhydrazone, C 6 H 4 ( o -OH)CHNNHC(O)C X (X= p -H, -OCH 3 , -NO 2 m -OH), yields the tetrahydrofuran (THF) adduct (C 14 9 N O X) InC 5 . With formylferrocenyl–aroylhydrazones FeC CHNNHC(O)C -Cl, -Cl), diethylindium–hydrazone complex, 18 OFeX)In(C ) was formed. salicylaldehyde–ferrocenoylhydrazone, monohydrazone complex 15 Fe)In(C solvate obtained. crystal structures derivatives first two series complexes and ferrocenoylhydrazone derivative were determined. In solid state, three are dimers, containing a set seven, five fused rings, respectively. every case, it observed symmetric anti arrangement rings in relation to central four-membered ring, resulting configuration that resembles chair. Cyclic voltammetric studies on ferrocenylaroylhydrazone revealed electron transference from ferrocene group towards indium atom, while for salicilaldehyde–ferrocenoyl this not observed.
