摘要: Summary Reasons for performing study: Subchondral cystic lesions of the medial femoral condyle (SCMFC) are well documented in horses 3 years; arthroscopic debridement or enucleation cyst is currently surgical treatment choice. However, studies occurence and outcome following surgery older lacking. Objective: To identify factors important with SCMFC treated by debridement. Hypothesis: Age horse at presentation has a significant influence on return to work SCMFC. Clinical diagnostic findings also respect prognosis. Methods: A retrospective review medical records from 6 equine referral centres identified 85 that underwent examination, radiographic were analysed together follow-up data. Univariable analysis multivariable logistic regression models used determine affecting soundness. Event-time was performed evaluate work. Results: Older (>3 years) less likely soundness (P = 0.02) 0.04) than younger (> years). Of 39 age 0-3 years, 25 (64%, 95% CI 49-79%) returned 46 >3 16 (35%, 21-49%) In addition, cartilage damage sites other negatively affected prognosis 0.05). The hospital where had no soundness. Conclusions: carry worse both work. Potential relevance: It clients be made aware difference between groups.
