摘要: The Lactobacillus flora of the rectal and oral mucosa was sampled from 42 healthy volunteers. Species identification carried out by numerically comparing API 50CH fermentation patterns with type strains, using an SJ-similarity cut-off level 79%. For largest groups, identity further confirmed DNA-DNA hybridizations against strain species. Seventeen lactobacilli clusters were defined, which most found both on mucosa. taxa plantarum, Lact. rhamnosus paracasei ssp. paracasei, isolated 52%, 26% 17% individuals, respectively. Most isolates tested for their capacity to adhere human colonic cell line HT-29 in absence presence methyl-alpha-D-mannoside. Mannose-sensitive adherence cells encountered two-thirds plantarum isolates, but infrequently among other taxa. results suggest that is a major colonizer gastrointestinal mucosa, its mannose-containing receptors may be some ecological importance.
