摘要: Typical and atypical seizures of absence epilepsy are thought to be generated by a rhythmogenic interplay between the cortex thalamus. However, question remains as which other subcortical extrathalamic structures involved in pathophysiology typical epilepsy. Limbic not seizures, since animal models human patients there is no evidence for occurrence spike-and-wave discharges limbic regions. number observations from that point possibly important link seizure mechanisms structures. Atypical distinct many ways although they bear considerable clinical, EEG, pharmacological resemblance seizures. The differences appear circuitry dependent. While both involve cortico-thalamo-cortical circuitry, each engage different neuronal networks within circuitry. This review examines involvement shows forms an integral component network concludes further knowledge this understanding complex relationships
