摘要: A frequent topic of controversy has been whether metabolism l-deprenyl (selegiline) to active metabolites is a detriment clinical use. This paper reviews possible roles the in producing unwanted adverse side effects or augmenting mediating its clinically useful actions. Levels l-amphctamine and l-methamphetamine likely be reached, even with excessive intake l-deprenyl, would unlikely produce neurotoxicity there no preclinical evidence abuse liability l-deprenyl. In contrast, that l-amphetamine have some qualitatively different actions than their disomer counterparts on EEG cognitive functioning which might result beneficial complement itself.
