摘要: To determine predictors of TNM relapse and survival for 108 patients with epidermoid carcinoma the pyriform sinus, histopathologic features tumor-related host-related characteristics were correlated primary and/or cervical nodal failure, distant metastases, actuarial three-year survival. Patients in this study received preoperative irradiation partial laryngopharyngectomy (PLP) or total (TLP) en bloc radical neck dissection. Higher rates local failure observed keratinizing tumors (34 vs. 15%), having an "infiltrating" tumor-stromal interface (30 14%), positive surgical margins PLP TLP specimens 16%), extranodal extension tumor (39 22%). The development metastases was significantly nonkeratinizing carcinomas vs 11%, P = 0.02), more often lymph nodes (17 7%). negative excision (50 21%, 0.01) survived longer.
