摘要: The kinetics of photopolymerization, in presence riboflavin or riboflavin-5′-phosphate (FMN), have been studied either spectrophotometrically, at 283 nm, chemically, by titrating unreacted double bonds with permanganate. two sets data are good agreement and suggest that least 8 h light exposure needed to ensure 95% conversion monomers into polymers. Up now, it was generally accepted photopolymerization should proceed for 1 h. It is not necessary prolong longer than h, because even a 24 illuminatin period only improves the from 96%. Although conditions described which both riboflavin-and persulfate-catalyzed gels, their visco-elastic properties widely different, suggesting final structure these matrices must vary considerably as function catalyst used.
