摘要: AIMS: Alpinia katsumadai was recently found in our previous study to have anti-migratory and anti-invasion activities against HT-1080 cells. However, the did not demonstrate exact component of with anti-invasive activities. We tested effects relevant mechanism cardamonin (CDN) on migration invasion cancer MAIN METHODS: Migration cells were measured using multi-well chambers. Zymography Western blots used examine CDN matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) expression transglutaminase-2 (Tgase-2). KEY FINDINGS: CDN, but alpinetin, dose-dependently suppressed 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced sarcoma Tgase-2, MMP-2, NF-κB MMP-9 cells, MMP-2 Gene silencing Tgase-2 MMP-9. various having high levels also inhibited by CDN. extracts directly activity Tgase-2. SIGNIFICANCE: inhibits several cell lines expressing via suppression inhibition activity. The finding that has inhibitory will give us a new scaffold or clue pharmacophore for development more effective inhibitors.
