摘要: BACKGROUND—Squamous tumours of the ocular surface, including lacrimal pathway, range from benign lesions to invasive carcinomas. Some these are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, types HPV differing among papillomas and dysplastic or malignant lesions. METHODS—The relation between squamous conjunctiva sac infection was investigated in 17 individuals such tumours. Nine 17 tumours were benign, four lesions, carcinomas. RESULTS—Eight specimens showed positive immunohistochemical staining antibodies HPV; eight papillomas, three one a carcinoma. Koilocytosis detected seven Five for also DNA by situ hybridisation, all polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. CONCLUSION—Approximately 50% surface infection. This is first report, our knowledge, detection field ophthalmology combination immunohistochemistry, PCR.
