摘要: In situ TiB-whisker-reinforced Ti6Al4V matrix composites with a quasi-continuous network reinforcement distribution exhibited an improved combination of room temperature tensile properties compared to the uniform distribution. The unique microstructure consisting whisker-rich boundary region and whisker-lean leads fracture characteristics. Under stress, main crack follows TiBw-rich region, which imparts superior strengthening effect TiBw. relatively large TiBw-lean contributes positively elongation failure composites.
