摘要: Calcium borotellurite glasses, doped with 0.25 mol.% of Sm2O3, were prepared to investigate the influence TeO2 content in their properties. The samples by a melt-quenching method, varying from 9 mol.% 51 mol.% and characterized volumetric density, optical absorption, refractive index, luminescence radiative lifetime. results are discussed as function content. increase concentration increases density index. absorption spectra present peaks characteristic Sm3+ ions. most intense peak was observed at 402 nm (6H5/2 →6P3/2 level). shifts band edge longer wavelength, resulting reduction energy gap an Urbach energy. show four typical emissions 564 nm, 598 nm, 646 nm 707 nm, corresponding 4G5/2 →6HJ (J = 5/2, 7/2, 9/2, 11/2) electronic transitions, respectively. intensity increase, which occurs mainly due decrease number ions per cubic centimeter. shows for all temperature increase. experimental lifetime 4G5/2 →6H7/2 transition decreases NBOs glass structure.
