摘要: Dark exposure initiated in adulthood reactivates robust ocular dominance plasticity the visual cortex. Here, we show that a critical component of response to dark is rejuvenation inhibitory synaptic transmission, resulting decrease functional density, paired-pulse depression, and reexpression endocannabinoid-dependent long-term depression (iLTD). Importantly, pharmacological acceleration maturation inhibition dark-exposed adults inhibits iLTD reactivation plasticity. Surprisingly, earlier postnatal development does not rejuvenate transmission or facilitate rapid plasticity, demonstrating presence refractory period for regulation by deprivation.
