摘要: Aims To provide nationally representative data on alcohol consumption in Vietnam and to assess whether reported numbers of ‘standard drinks’ consumed have evidence validity (particularly rural areas where home-made is from cups varying size). Methods A population-based survey 14,706 participants (46.5% males, response proportion 64.1%) aged 25−64 years Vietnam. Measurements were made accordance with WHO STEPS protocols. Data analysed using complex methods. Results Among men, 80% drinking during the last year, 40% hazardous/harmful drinkers. Approximately 60% men <5% women had week, one-in-four reporting having at least five standard drinks one occasion. Numbers by associated blood pressure/hypertension, particularly ( P < 0.001 for trend). Most calibration discrimination possible self-reported information was provided binary responses questions or not been reference period. Conclusion Alcohol use harmful common among Vietnamese but less pronounced than Western nations. Self-reports quantity terms predictive pressure hypertension even areas. However, detailed measures resulted only minor improvements prediction compared simple measures.
