Sev-eral methods, including the use of live-stock guarding dogs, llamas, don-keys, have used reduce thesemortalities (Andelt, 1996, 2001). In thispaper, I summarize effectivenessof livestock animals for reduc-ing predation on domestic sheep andgoats. Recent reviews guard-ing are provided by Smith et al.(2000) Rigg (2001).
