摘要: Potato starch residue stream produced during chips manufacturing was used as an economical source for biomass and bioethanol production by Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Results demonstrated that 1% H2SO4 at 100 °C 1 h enough to hydrolyze all contained in the stream. Two strains of S. cerevisiae (y-1646 commercial one) were able utilize ferment acid-treated under both aerobic semi-anaerobic conditions. The maximum yield ethanol (5.52 g L−1) achieved 35 y-1646 after 36 when ZnCl2 (0.4 added. Addition NH4NO3 a nitrogen did not significantly affect either growth or y-1646. Some secondary by-products including alcohol derivatives medical active compound found be associated with process.
