摘要: The present article reports the solid particle erosion response of a new class multi-component composite system consisting epoxy resin reinforced with jute—fiber and SiC particles derived from bio-resource like rice husk. Erosion trials are carried out at various test conditions. For this, an air jet type rig Taguchi’s orthogonal arrays used. Significant control factors influencing wear rate identified. This also presents development theoretical model for estimating damage caused by impact on composites. is based upon conservation kinetic energy relates some material properties results compared found to be in good agreement experimental values.
