摘要: Abstract Metallic Zn nanowires have been synthesized by a new carbothermal reduction route in which ZnO and Eucalyptus sp. tar pitch were used as source materials. This simple practical procedure was capable of producing large quantities without reoxidation. process carried out inert atmosphere, vacuum or catalyst, at temperatures (800–900 °C) lower than those required the with graphite. A comparative study performed using graphite that is traditionally reducer, under same experimental conditions, however, no reaction observed. The involves pyrolysis biopitch to obtain highly reactive coke release (v) for growth (s) nanowires. resulting characterized X-ray diffractometry, energy-dispersive spectroscopy scanning electron microscopy. Differential thermal analysis thermogravimetric coupled infrared techniques an effort understand underlying mechanism establish best ratio biopitch/ZnO be used. paper presents characterization as-synthesized discusses main reactions involved their production.
