摘要: We report a simple experimental approach to follow the transport of helium (He) plasma-generated reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) through millimetre thick agarose targets. These RONS may be either primary RONS, generated directly by plasma jet, or secondary for example at surface of, within, material. Our experiment involves placing an film over quartz cuvette filled with deionized water. The is exposed He jet UV absorption profile (of water) recorded in real-time. Plasma exposure time, source-target distance thickness composition are varied explore their effects on depth delivery jet. conclude that plays minor role RONS; whereas direct contact gas flow promote into tissue. data indicate accumulation within (during exposure) subsequent (time-lagged) release can readily adapted other sources; it accommodate more complex biological materials, has potential provide new insights plasma-induced phenomena real tissues.
