摘要: Endovascular exclusion of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) is an investigational technique under scrutiny around the world. The tube and bifurcated versions Grafting System (EGS) developed by Technologies are subjects FDA-approved multicenter trials in United States (US). Similar studies way Europe, Australia, Kingdom. This review details implantation techniques for EGS device summarizes important clinical findings published through 1996.Although was voluntarily removed from US trial when fractures were discovered graft attachment system, subsequent experience with re-engineered has been positive. Successfully implanted grafts have associated aneurysm shrinkage after 1 year AAAs initially excluded or sealed endoleaks. Aneurysm enlargement seen persistent endoleak.
