摘要: One hundred sixty-one sera from lung cancer patients, including 46 samples patients who had not yet received treatment were screened for tumor-associated antigens with 3 monoclonal antibodies, CSLEX1, CSLEA1, and CLEX5, by a new cell binding inhibition assay. We previously determined that the recognized CSLEX1 CSLEA1 are sialosylated Lewisx Lewisa, respectively. Either of these two antibodies alone reacted about 65% untreated patients' sera. Eighty-seven % showed positive results at least one antibodies. The CLEX5 antibody is presented here as recognizing potential antigen. 54% nontreated patients. When all three combined, percentage was 89% (of 46). Some interesting patterns in serum levels detected observed. Levels significantly higher advanced stage (III IV) ( P < 0.0003). In addition, dependent on whether or patient been receiving treatment. These observations suggest applications to diagnosis monitoring therapies.
