摘要: There is a rapidly accumulating body of evidence regarding the influential role early life stress (ELS) upon medical and psychiatric conditions. While self-report instruments, with their intrinsic limitations recall, remain primary means detecting ELS in humans, biological measures are generally limited to single system. This paper describes design, rationale feasibility study simultaneously measure neuroendocrine, immune autonomic nervous system (ANS) responses psychological physiological stressors relation ELS. Five healthy university students were recruited by advertisement. Exclusion criteria included chronic conditions, psychotic disorders, needle phobia, inability tolerate pain, those using anti-inflammatory medications. They clinically interviewed recordings made over two-hour period pre, during post two acute stressors: cold pressor test recalling distressing memory. The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire Parental Bonding Index utilised Other mood personality also administered. Measurements heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory skin conductance, flow temporal plasma samples successfully obtained before, after stress. Participants reported extensive multisystem data collection provocations tolerable. Most (4/5) participants indicated willingness return repeat protocol, indicating acceptability.
