摘要: BACKGROUND. Insulin-like growth factor-2 (IGF-2) is considered one of the autocrine factors in colorectal carcinoma. In addition, it well known that IGF-2 produced liver. However, role liver metastasis not yet understood clearly. METHODS. Immunohistochemical staining and IGF-1 receptor (IGF-IR) was performed on tissue samples metastases from 30 carcinoma patients. situ hybridization also conducted same samples. Furthermore, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) immunohistochemically stained for use as an indicator proliferative activity cancer cells. RESULTS. Invasive margins were highly by both (70%) IGF-IR (83%). Overexpression protein mRNA observed normal adjacent to tumor. The PCNA labeling indices (Lls) positive groups significantly higher than those negative group (P < 0.0001). LIs = 0.0002). CONCLUSIONS. These findings suggest hepatocyte-derived stimulates tumor proliferation a paracrine mechanism plays important progression patients with metastases.
