摘要: The p53 molecular network is a master regulator of how cells respond to DNAdamaging stresses. Its primary function DNA-damage by several options: apoptosis, cellular senescence, and temporary arrest growth for DNA repair. network’s tight regulation fate after damage has obvious beneficial effects preventing tumorigenesis, possible costly later in life such as the accumulation damaged other aging phenotypes. Because many reptile species have evolved unique organismal stress responses, we tested related hypothesis that evolutionary dynamics of, mode selection on, genes within differs between reptiles mammals, these differences may underlie evolution response diversity. We analyzed 32 both mammals compare rates change modes selection, (i.e., positive or purifying). utilized transcriptomes seventeen order determine protein-coding nucleotide sequences performed analyses. found involved repair prevention, inhibiting mTOR, which an pathway, are undergoing different levels when compared mammals. discuss findings context adaptations stressors propose future functional research.
