摘要: Background  Research studies into the effect of therapies have shown that a good relationship between client and his caregiver is key factor in positive treatment outcome. Methods  The nominal group technique (NGT) has been used this study to discover what clients with intellectual disabilities feel contributes successful working caregivers. Results  research reveals from clients’ perspective way which caregivers deliver their support (a reliable, empathic non-patronising attitude) important. particular types seem be less influential terms success. Furthermore, results show preferred ways receiving help correspond basic assumptions solution focused brief therapy. Conclusions  This project demonstrates NGT valuable instrument bringing fore opinions priorities disabilities. Comparisons client-professional relationships among children adults without reveal similarities outcomes project.
