摘要: Abstract Objective Leptin stimulates peripheral lipid oxidation, but the influence on mitochondrial function is partly unknown. We investigated tissue-specific in leptin-deficient obese C57BL/6J- ob/ob mice compared to lean littermates following leptin treatment. Materials and Methods Lean were treated with saline or for 5days. At day six, liver, extensor digitorum longus (EDL) soleus muscle dissected respiration analyzed freshly tissues. Expression of key proteins regulation was determined. Results In reduced mice. transcription factor A (TFAM) decreased mice, increased glycolytic EDL muscle, Protein markers complex II, IV ATP synthase from both saline- leptin-treated TFAM protein abundance decreased, while dynamin-1-like saline-treated restored by oxidative electron transport system unchanged, Conclusions conclusion, display adaptations under basal conditions response Mitochondrial unaltered Insight into energy supply demand may provide new opportunities treatment insulin resistance.
