摘要: Photoelectric mixing is at present an effect which can be displayed with great difficulty. When combined optical masers (or lasers), it may provide the basis of relatively simple measurements using radio-frequency-like receivers. In these receivers detector or mixer a photocell other photoelectric device. Two general receiver types are considered and termed, following rf terminology, low-level superheterodyne The offers possibility observations special shape laser output. measurement shapes ordinary spectral lines although good resolution will require long observation times. As instrument for comparing two outputs capable such extraordinary sensitivity that lasers compared out to physical separations 106 km.
