摘要: The ultrastructural features that are critical to the efficient functioning of blood-brain barrier (b-bb) were quantified in typical vessels, i.e., cerebral gray and white matter capillaries, compared with same parameters nonbarrier capillaries (area postrema), somatic (muscle) mouse. image analysis was done help a simple, rapid system required only digitized bit pad microcomputer. We found that: (1) number pinocytotic vesicles thought be associated vascular permeability three times higher area postrema vessels nearly seven muscle than vessels. (2) A percentage interendothelial junctions displayed areas separation may represent channels coursing from luminal abluminal surface between tight junctional complexes. Such not observed under normal conditions studied here, but have been seen by others which has breached. (3) 39% decrease wall thickness capillaries. (4) No differences mitochondrial density or pericytes among any region. Therefore we questioned both universality apparently increased metabolic work capacity whether play role conditions.
