摘要: Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations are a potential predictor of the effectiveness EGFR inhibitors for treatment lung cancer. Although were reported to occur with high frequency in nonsmoking Japanese adenocarcinoma patients, exact nature has not been fully elucidated. We examined gene within exons 18–21 and their correlations clinico-pathological factors other genetic alterations tumour specimens from 154 patients who underwent resection cancer at Kyoto University Hospital. observed 60 tumours (39.0%), all which adenocarcinoma. Among (n=108), more frequently nonsmokers than former smokers or current (83.0, 50.0, 15.2%, respectively), women men (76.3 vs 34.0%), bronchio-alveolar component those without (78.9 42.9%), well moderately differentiated poorly (72.0, 64.4, 34.2%). No had any K-ras codon 12 mutations, well-known smoking-related mutations. In conclusion, adenocarcinomas mutation distinctive feature unrelated smoking. may play key role development smoking-independent
