摘要: The present study was undertaken to investigate the diagnostic usefulness of fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) in a large series patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) seen over 1-year period. During 1986, ultrasonographically guided percutaneous FNAB performed 72 suspected HCC. A final diagnosis HCC made 58 patients. presence or absence ascertained by histological examination and/or other procedures (α1-fetoprotein, computed tomography, arteriography) and clinical follow-up (repeated ultrasonographic controls) surgery necropsy. total 61 FNABs were carried out these Only 42 (69%) allowed This moderate sensitivity not related tumor size. one false positive result observed non-HCC group. Therefore, specificity for 93%, predictive value 97% negative 40%. These results show that is useful technique However, data also there proportion (31%) subjects results. we suggest further efforts should be improve accuracy this procedure.
