摘要: The discovery that rapamycin increases lifespan in mice and restores/delays many aging phenotypes has led to the speculation 'anti-aging' properties. major question discussed this review is whether a manipulation anti-aging properties can alter onset and/or progression of Alzheimer's disease, disease which age risk factor. Rapamycin been shown prevent (and possibly restore some cases) deficit memory observed mouse model (AD-Tg) as well reduce Aβ tau aggregation, cerebral blood flow vascularization, microglia activation. All these parameters are widely recognized symptoms central development AD. Furthermore, also improve anxiety depression several other models show cognitive deficits 'normal' mice. current research shows feasibility using pharmacological agents increase lifespan, such those identified by National Institute on Aging Intervention Testing Program, treat disease.
