摘要: Abstract Europium-doped yttrium hydroxide (Y(OH) 3 :Eu) with flower-like microstructure has been successfully prepared via a facile hydrothermal process, using potassium sodium tartrate (C 4 H O 6 KNa) as structure-directing reagent. oxide (Y 2 similar morphology is by calcining the as-prepared Y(OH) :Eu at 700 °C for 4 h. Influencing factors such concentration of tartrate, amount hydroxide, and temperature used synthesis are systematically investigated. Possible formation mechanism proposed on basis time-dependent experiment. Y samples show strong red emission corresponding to 5 D 0 - 7 F transition Eu 3+ ions under excitation. Emission intensity varies between different morphologies. The optimum doping also explored. This work sheds some light design preparation novel microstructures.
