摘要: Histopathological examination of the nasal passages requires a standardized approach for recording lesion distribution patterns. Nasal diagrams provide guidance to map lesions. Information on lesions exists rodents, dogs, and monkeys, which all have been used in inhalation studies. Recently, minipigs garnered interest as an model because resemble humans many features anatomy, physiology, biochemistry may be good alternative monkeys dogs. The present work explored microanatomy histology Gottingen from postnatal day 1 until 6 months age. Six levels were selected, allow squamous, transitional (nonciliated) ciliated respiratory, olfactory epithelia; nasopharynx; relevant structures such vomeronasal organ, bulb, nasal/nasopharynx-associated lymphoid tissue.
