摘要: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents an important public health problem in Egypt where up to 90% of HCC cases are attributable hepatitis C viral (HCV) infection. Serum alpha-fetoprotein is elevated only approximately 60% patients. The development effective markers for the detection could have impact on cancer mortality and significant implications worldwide. objective our study was assess six candidate identified by mass spectrometric analysis enriched serum. examined 78 72 age- gender-matched cancer-free controls recruited from Egyptian population. Matrix-assisted laser desorption-ionization time-of-flight low-molecular weight fraction serum used identification markers. Our analyses show that all associated with after adjustment covariates including HCV B infections. marker candidates independently predictive areas under receiver operating characteristic (AuROC) curve ranging 63-93%. A combination improves prediction accuracy 100% sensitivity, 91% specificity 98% AuROC independent test set 50 Two were sequencing as fragments complement C3 C4. In conclusion, a peptides distinguished high population rate chronic Further evaluation these diagnosis needed.
