摘要: Angiogenesis is essential for tumor growth, invasion, and metastatic spread. Whereas microvessel density (MVD) has been widely used as a measure of tumor-associated angiogenesis, we now wanted to examine the significance other angiogenic markers, especially vascular proliferation (by Ki-67/factor VIII staining) degree pericyte coverage [by alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA)/factor staining], in large population-based series endometrial carcinoma with complete follow-up. Due limited information on role lymphangiogenesis these tumors, lymphatic vessel (LVD) by LYVE-1 staining was also determined, well selected factors [vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-A, VEGF-C, VEGF-D basic fibroblast (bFGF)], which could possibly be related lymphangiogenesis. The phenotype clinicopathologic features disease progress. Median proliferation, estimated index (VPI), 3.9% high VPI associated aggressive tumors decreased survival. prognostic effect superior that MVD. Presence coverage, alpha-SMA (SMAI), 35% low SMAI significantly invasion cells impaired prognosis. Peritumoral vessels (LVD-pt) were found 39.5% cases LVD-pt In multivariate survival analysis, only extent had independent effect, addition well-known factors, whereas MVD did not have significant value. conclusion, our study indicates meaningful variable assessing carcinoma.
