摘要: This study examines hydrothermal decomposition of Baker's yeast cells, used as a model for spent Brewer's waste, into protein and amino acids. The reaction was carried out in closed batch reactor at various temperatures between 100 250 degrees C. products were separated water-soluble solid residue. results demonstrated that the amount residue decreased with increasing hydrolysis temperature. After 20 min water C, 78% decomposed. highest produced also obtained this condition found to be 0.16 mg/mg dry yeast. acids (0.063 yeast) lowest temperature tested after 15 min. product 200 C nutrient source growth. growth cells culture medium containing 2 w/v% comparable grown commercial extract same concentration. These feasibility using subcritical potentially decompose proteinaceous waste such while recovering more useful products.
