摘要: The threat of climate change demands that human settlements adapt to unavoidable impacts. Climate is a complex problem requires traditional disciplines work together facilitate an integrated and coordinated response its Transdisciplinary research approaches have been recognised for being well placed aid responses problems such as change. This paper draws on the experience South East Queensland Adaptation Research Initiative (SEQCARI), Australia, reflect upon challenges involved in undertaking transdisciplinary aimed at developing improving range adaptation options specific sectors across sectors. Challenges learning's are discussed based three phases processes: framing team building, co-creation solution-oriented transferable knowledge, (re)integration application created knowledge. Four key insights then advance adaptation: adoption dynamic learning approach learning-by-doing/doing-by-learning provide sufficient flexibility scope navigate potential barriers conflicts; selection social sciences drive integration; choice one sector platform acknowledgement existing limitations associated with political context which takes place.
