Properties of sodium-based ternary phosphate glasses produced from readily available phosphate salts

摘要: Abstract Three series of phosphate glasses were produced by melting together sodium salt (NaH 2 PO 4 ) and the salts either calcium (CaHPO ), magnesium (MgHPO  · 3H O) or iron (FePO  · 2H in a 5% gold/95% platinum crucible at 1200 °C. The glass compositions confirmed EDX XRD analysis. Glass transition temperature ( T g density durability water determined for all compositions. Maximum metal oxide contents before devitrification between 55% 59% CaO + Na O 62% MgO + Na O. normalized equivalent Fe 3  + Na was 61%. Density values lay 2.49 2.75 g cm −3 . s 295 °C 470 °C. Degradation rates deionized 37 °C 0.03 g cm −2  h −1 Na 9 × 10 −6  g cm Ca glasses, 3 × 10 Mg glasses. effect addition on properties goes as Fe > Mg > Ca degradation Fe > Mg ≈ Ca density. change with seen to be linear additions but not addition. This is agreement anomalous behavior
