摘要: The cobalt(II) complexes with the quinolone sparfloxacin (Hsf) in absence or presence of nitrogen-donor heterocyclic ligands 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) 2,2'-bipyridylamine (bipyam) were prepared and characterized physicochemically spectroscopically. crystal structures [Co(sf)2(bipy)]∙3MeOH∙2H2O [Co(sf)2(phen)]∙4MeOH determined by X-ray crystallography. antimicrobial activity was tested against four different microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Xanthomonas campestris, Staphylococcus aureus Bacillus subtilis) found similar higher than that free Hsf. binding to calf-thymus DNA monitored UV-vis spectroscopy DNA-viscosity measurements indirectly competitive studies ethidium bromide; intercalation is suggested as most possible interaction mode. Fluorescence emission used evaluate human bovine serum albumin corresponding constants determined.
