摘要: New neurons are generated daily in the hippocampus during adult life. They integrated into existing neuronal circuits according to several factors such as age, physical exercise and hormonal status. At present, role of these new is debated. Computational simulations hippocampal function allow effects neurogenesis be explored, at least from a computational perspective. The present work implements model with artificial neural networks, based on standard theoretical biologically plausible circuits. performance retrieval variable number patterns or memories was evaluated (episodic memory evaluation). increased, phase subsequent initial learning, granular cells by 30% relative their number. In contrast without neurogenesis, recent very significantly improved, although remotes were only slightly affected neurogenesis. This increase quality represents clear advantage that we attribute process. becomes more significant for higher storage loads. presented here suggests an important functional learning memory.
