摘要: Abstract This paper studies the light focusing phenomenon in optofluidic waveguides and uses it to monitor chemical reactions. Firstly, relationship between pattern its contributing factors is investigated experimentally. Next, a characterization experiment conducted validate use of as an indicator diffusion properties. The sensitivity limit-of-detection (LOD) are measured be 1.54 μm/(μm2/s) 3.93 × 10−12 m2/s over-mixed region, respectively. Then, sucrose hydrolysis reaction monitored using proposed method demonstration. initial rate this 19.62 μM/min, which agrees reasonably well with reported value. Lastly, extended determine coefficient binary solutions. coefficients ethylene glycol glycerol water 5.56 ± 0.12 × 10-10 7.01 ± 0.20 × 10-10 m2/s, study demonstrates new for potential integrated biochemical sensing paves way broad range applications microreactors, synthesis, quantification biomolecular interactions.
